We start our 3hour bus journey at 7am from Bolu to Ankara. One can see beautiful snow capped landscapes along the ride.
Ankara is the 2nd biggest city of Turkey and the capital city of Turkey.
Ataturk mausoleum (Anitkabir)
Dedicated to the first President of Turkey – Makel Ataturk
The mausoleum displays the late President’s portraits, books, clothes and gifts received from other leaders. It also provides some war scenes through wax figures and painted scenes.
After which we drive to our net destination. The Saratli underground city. It was started by the Christians for hiding away from the Romans, it was then used by many generations to hide from invaders and then storage for the villagers.
After a very educational visit, we drove to the city of stay at coppodacia. We stayed in the caves hotel which were previously used by the locals.
It was a very nice experience.
