We will need to set off early today as the famous Kawah Putih although is 65km away, the narrow and winding roads to the place means it will need approximate 2 hours and 15 mins to get there.
After a sumptuous buffet breakfast at the hotel, we are off to Ciwidey!
Kawah Putih is a must go. It is just beautiful. and these are just some pictures we took.
After spending 30 to 45 mins enjoying the splendours of nature, we are to now drive back to Bandung city.
And of course do some Strawberry fruit pickings along the many small farms along the roads of Ciwidey area.
Alas, it was time for lunch! We stop at Saung Gawir Resto. Beautiful views overlooking the hills while enjoying the local dishes in your own private dining huts.

After yet another delicious meal, we set off to go back to the city. And we were very lucky, it started raining after we have completed all the main attractions!
Back in the city, we start going about buying the local food produce. Everything that is “tempe” (soy product originated from indonesia) based are all worth buying, eating or tasting. It was our first time buying tempe crackers and man! it is just too delicious!
After some more clothes & kuih lapis shopping, we then went to the Stone Cafe for light dinner since we are overstuffed with munching of this and that the whole day.
It is a beautiful dining place with a nice view of the city.
And with that, we conclude our 2 day visit of famous local haunt for the Indonesian city dwellers.
The weather is cool , the people are hospitable and the food is authentic.
I now understand why locals like going Bandung despite the traffic.
Definitely a place to go to for a short getaway.
