Bandung in 2 days : Lembang

With the direct flight from Johor bahru to Bandung at Rm400, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit this famous Indonesian getaway city.

After 1 hour and 45 mins flight, we arrived Bandung airport at 1130am local time. A small but fully functional airport which will be a problem during peak season considering the size of the place.

We were picked up by our friend with a hired driver. If anything that you should expect in Bandung, it is traffic jams. The many  narrow and winding roads just cannot keep up with the cars ownership of the locals.

Our first stop is lunch at a famous Sudanese restaurant call Ma’Uneh. They served an array of Sudanese dishes of at least 20 different types.

The  restaurant is nestled in between local houses, one would need to walk in about 100m from when your car can put you off.

Some sights along the way to get to the restaurant

And this small Lane to the main entrance of the restaurant.

And the many dishes that we ordered

After a leisurely and sumptuous lunch, our next stop is to the north of Bandung city for Lembang district. Our first stop is the Farmhouse. it’s a very nice family activity park.

Some mini houses for picture taking

And farm animals for kids to interact with

The place are constructed with in Dutch architectural designs with quaint shops plus a  with cafe or two and resto about.

After spending a good 2 hours we are off to the next stop.

Next we drove to the Floating market. Entrance fee is 20000 rupiah per person and there are mini parks for walking and some floating food stalls .

Included in the entrance fee is a cup of hot beverage of either coffee tea or hot chocolate.  Here’s us enjoying a quick cuppa

After visiting 2 places in 4 hours, we head back to the city for dinner at Paskal food centre.

It is an open air food centre with many stalls offering different types of foods ranging from local cuisines to Western ones. Naturally we ordered the local foods like their sate, soto, bamboo rice, bbq iga and some local desserts.

After enjoying dinner in the cooling weather, we head off to our booked hotel stay – Padma Resort Hotel at Lembang
